Working as a graphic designer at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Robin gained invaluable experience in book design. She formed her own business, Robin Weiss Graphic Design, in 1990 and her clients have included Chronicle Books, the M.H. de Young Museum, Sunset Books, The Taunton Press, Stanford Lawyer magazine, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Yosemite Association. With a special interest in typography, Robin enjoys the challenge of how type can enhance each project and make it readable, accessible and beautiful. Organized and thorough with 25 years of experience, content drives Robin's aesthetic as she connects thoughtful design to the subject matter. "I like brainstorming with clients about what they want for their projects. In the end, the finished piece is for them, not me, and I want their vision to come through even if they have no idea what their vision should look like. That part is my job." |
